Hello, I am doing some research on the 7.62 x 51mm NATO round, which was offered by the US as the T-65 round during the mid-50's ammo competition held to adopt a standardized NATO smalls arms rifle/MG round.
I am aware that the T-65 was essentially a shortened 30-06 round, dropping from a length of 63mm to 51mm. What I am interested in finding out is if anyone is aware of additional source material on the competition itself, and/or what other rounds were offered during the competition.
Thank you to all who assist.
-Cheers
