Secure transmission of field encryption/decrytion

I am not a "military/defense enthusiast" as was left as my only option. I am, however, a professor of marketing/business, with an IT background, and for fun, post to my students at the beginning of a semester, to come up with creative ways to communicate an encrytion/decryption transmission protocol to ensure that we can communicate securely to our field forces anything that may need be communicated. It is a multy faceted question/response scenario, as if any of them come up with a fool proof scenario, it can be passed on, or, if nothing else, gets them here in Canada, to realize the difficulties of in field scenarios. If anyone else is doing this in a classroom environment, I would like to talk to you, as I would like to determine better ways of presenting this to my students, so that they do not take it as a pick/choose scenario for a global environment, but still allow them to pontificate the diffictulties of dealing with a confrontational world from an unbiased, technological perspective.

I look forward to your input and ideas,

Jason
