Folks, I am sad and heartbroken to have to bring this to you but I've got some very sad news about passing away of Whiskyjack aka Wayne Andrews, a great member of the DefenceTalk forum community.

Personally and on behalf of DefenceTalk.com I offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to Wayne's family and friends.

Part of the email that I received about this tragic news:

His widow Michelle has gained access to his email accounts and has asked me, a close friend for many years, to contact the more personal correspondents directly on her behalf. As the administrator of Defence Talk I felt advising you directly to be appropriate.

Wayne was only 31 at his death, which was caused by a heart attack exacerbated by a medical condition he was born with. Tragically, Michelle was only 9 weeks pregnant with their first at the time.

Michelle is well aware of the great enjoyment he received from participating in DefenceTalk, and would like her regards passed on.
Here are links to posts and threads made by Wayne and his contribution to the Defence community at large. We will surely miss him.

May God give Michelle and other members of Wayne's family strength to cope with this great loss.

Wow! Hard to believe that guy is gone. He always had some useful input to any discussion he was involved in. It's even harder to believe a soldier with good cardiovacular conditioning could die of a heart attack at the age of 31.

My full condolences to his wife Michelle and his family members.
