Russian air force training question

In the United States for example F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and to some existent F-22 trained against each other. I'm interested in reading about Russian Fulcrum pilots going up against their big Flanker brothers in mock training. I was wondering if this first takes place and second is there something on this topic I could read?
