Hi guys,

I've been trying to trying to look for reasonable cost estimates for a number of helicopters. I'm looking for both brand new and refurbished prices. Could you guys help me out?

These are what I'm currently studying. If there are other choppers out there that fit these categories, and you have prices for them I'd appreciate the input.

Light helicopter category

UH-47 Lakota (EAD EC-145)
UH-1Y
S-76
AS565 Panther
W-3 Sokol (or other variants)

Medium-lift category

Mi-17 (various models)
AS532 Cougar (preferably AL version)
NH-90
UH-60 BlackHawk
S-92 SuperHawk

Thanks in advance.

All prices are average unit price and can vary a little depending upon the exact nature of the deal signed.
  • Mil-171: $2.5 million (2 helos purchased by Nepal in 2002. Approx. equal to $3 million today)
  • NH-90 TTH: $4.34 million (34 helos purchased by Australia in 2006)
  • UH-60 Blackhawk: You did not specify the variant, so..
UH-60L Blackhawk: $14.5 million (average price of a total of 72 helos purchased by Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in 2006)
UH-60M Blackhawk: $29.5 million (average price of 35 aircraft purchased by Bahrain and UAE in 2006)
  • S-92 Superhawk: $45 million (average price for 27 of the CH-148 Cyclone variant for Canada. I don't have the year of purchase for this deal)
Hope this helps.
