Spain donates three old radars assemblies (AN/FPS-113 & AN/FPS-90) to Argentina for 1 € each.

Spanish government authorizes transfer of three radars to Argentina for three euro.

The Spanish Government authorized today the alienation of three assemblies of radars of the Army of the Air for its transfer to the Air Force Argentina by the symbolic price of a euro (1,41 ) each radar.

Those systems proceed of the Air Surveillance Squadrons (EVA) numbers 1, 3 and 9, and had been decommissioned* recently, said the press note released after the weekly meeting of the Spanish Cabinet.

Now they will be able to be used again after the Brigadier General Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the Argentinian Air Force requested the material to the Spanish Government.

The Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the Spanish Air Force Air reported favorably about the transfer of the radars, at the suggestion of the Property Alienation and Defence Products Office.

Spain will transfer those for a symbolic amount of three euro, one by each radar installation, added the press release.

* IIRC the EVAs 1 & 2 received the radar Lanza 3D of Indra; the EVA 9 received the radar RAT-31 SL/T of Alenia.
