A *better* question (and one not against forum T&C) would be to ask "What are the differences between PESA and AESA radar systems?" rather then asking "Which one is better?" which falls into the category of a versus thread.

I really do want to know the difference between the two.Had not heard of PESA. But then I do not know much.

The APQ-181 replacement program is almost done. The last of the work will be completed next year.
