Russia going to create a stealth bomber based on Tu-160

Russians have increase flights over NATO territories... I guess it's Russia's way of saying "we are still strong"

Looking at the quality of input so far on their prev blogs, I'd place zero credibility on it.

No the PAK-DA is a real program. It's just very, very, VERY far off into the future. We're talking past the 2020 timeframe. It's somewhere up there with the future Russian carrier fleet.

And the PAKDA research and development contract has been signed with Tupolev. It's a 3 year contract running to 2012. After 2012, they will begin construction-development up to 2017. First flight is estimated by 2015.

Usual claims that the bomber will be VLO, and plans to replace the Tu-160, Tu-95MS, and Tu-22M3. The base for the bomber will be the Tu-160.
