It based on IL-76. And its AWACS equipments are different from A-50.

I know that the chinese have been muggled up in the same secrecy Development cloud, i Bet the AWAC would be a worthy effort. I HOPE!!. but who ever even dared enough to take a picture of such an AWAC landing would surely be in danger, Wouldn't you agree!!.

nice pic u got there. the chinese AWACS might still need a year or two to finish testing and another few years b4 they equip it in significant numbers.

At the Moment China has no other option they have to equip in large Quantities to Defend against Quality ie Three Israeli AWACS(IAF)!!
but this is a good indigenous effort the world keeps pushing China !!!!
