Basically, the MS compay will remain as it is now, except the DFSW platoon, will be re-roled to an anti-armour company.
MS teams will then be formed in each rifle platoon and an MS section will be formed in each rifle company to provide greater levels of direct fire support for infantry. New weapons such as an automatic grenade launcher, short range anti-armour weapon, 7.62mm semi-auto "marksman" rifles and greater use of heavy machine guns to provide this additional fire support.
The infantry battalion will then be reduced to 3 rifle companies from 4 to allow for the greater personnel and weapons capabilities per company.
6 Battalion RAR is to trial this new structure in the lead-up to 2010 when it's supposed to be implemented.
