Lockheed Martin Corp.'s Orlando training systems business has landed a three-year contract with Saudi Arabia to produce weapons-training systems for Saudi military pilots, the company said today. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal calls for Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support to design and produce a comprehensive training program for aircraft weapon-systems officers at the King Faisal Air Academy in Riyadh, Lockheed said.

The program will include training simulators, courseware, electronic classrooms and training-management systems, according to Lockheed. Terms call for a two-year development phase followed by actual on-site training provided by Lockheed.

The deal includes options to continue the program for three more years. With annual revenue topping $1 billion, Orlando-based Lockheed Simulation is one of the nation's key players in military-training technology. The business employs more than 1,500 in Orlando.
