Mike Consentino, Lockheed Martin head of International Programs JSF, has confirmed in an interview in Australian Aviation, that Australia has inquired about taking a mix of CTOL and STOVL versions.

He also explains that the primary difference between block 2 and 3 versions is primarily software related.

Because the US wants Block 3 aircraft, foreign nations may receive their aircraft before the USAF.

OSINT alert and lifted from Aust'n Aviation Magazine.
