Su_37, the main issue is whether these aircraft are being tasked appropriately, not so much what their comparitive specs are. (eg the design brief and tasking is not similar to an F-16CD or a JF-17, I could be wrong, but I would have thought that the LCA is closer to the combat role as envisaged for an F-16A or F-16B, ie a fast turning knife fighter.)

The info regarding JF-17 is a bit old.
New engine with 20,500 lbs afterburning thrust.
TWR(requires calculation, me too exhausted rght now)
Max weapon load:4000 kg (new engine and increased wing area)
Flight Controls:Three channel digital FBW
Avionics:RDY 200/400 radar, 3 MFDs in cockpit (one coloured),Wide angle smart HUD and an HMD.
About the LCA no idea. :help

i see jf-17 and lca as bulk fighters to replace all the old f-7p and mig 21s. both planes will be multi role.

f-16 would be a frontline air superiority fighter for either pakistan or india, but in western countries, it would be the bulk fighter.

Hey,

Whats the name of that new engine ??? The RD-93 generates ~19,000 lbs of thrust and I dont think PAF will go for another engine.

-LCa is not bulk it has proven to be superior t the gripen in flight tests[which is why the gripen is not a major comptetitor in the mrca]

-The f-16 is not bulk either it is still in the usaf being over 80% of the fighters being used the f-22 is only being used for critical purposes because it is to expensive which why the f-35 is going to replace it.
