Does anyone have any information about Lightweight land rovers that served in the irish campaign or any photos that might help me in the restoration of my land rover.

I've got a Range Rover and am registered on one of the UK mailing lists. There are a number of blokes who have landies as well as rangies.

It might be worth your while registering on the site and see if you can get a bite (there are landy questions that pop up now and then, and someone will at least steer you in a different direction)

on another note, my first vehicle was a Ser II shortie with a 4.4L P-76 aluminium V8 - it used to pull like there was no tomorrow. ;)

Have you tried the local UK rags as well? There are a few ex-mil resellers who advertise, and they might have some vehicles with similar histories as yours - at least you'll be able to make date comparisons etc....
