Greetings all

I've notcied this system (mainly .50 cal mount) on a few armoured vehicles i've seen on the web and was wondering if someone can answer 2 questions for me.

1. Are these able to be reloaded from inside the vehicle?

2. Can the weapon still be manual operated by the user even though they are firmly placed on the mount?

Many thanks for your assistance

1. No.

"The Protector series currently consists of four main products: Protector M151, Protector Lite, Protector NM 221 and Sea Protector. The M151 has been the high-volume product thus far. It is lightweight, easy to integrate and does not require any reduction in a vehicle's armour, offering great flexibility for customer-specific modifications. Protector NM 221 is the original product and differs from M151 and Lite in that the system allows the user to reload ammunition from the inside instead of using an external ammo box. "

i.e. the Protector M151 does not allow for loading under armor.

2. Yes

"The new Protector succeeded the Raven, developed and produced by Recon Optical, originally produced to meet US Army's CROWS requirement. The system mount has three-axis stabilization for the weapon and sensor assembly, allowing on-the-move target acquisition and fire-burst target engagement. The system also supports manual emergency backup."
