Joint air exercise

Joint air exercise

I’m looking for any articles on different joint exercises and not just the most known like the Cope India 2005 exercise, but the big ones as well. I’ve read a lot about F-16 vs. Mirage 2000 and about Germany’s Fulcrums vs. Western or NATO training flights, that I was able to find easy. I’m interesting in reading about Mirage 2000-5 vs. F-15C, to me this is rare. Rafale vs. 15/16/18 maybe some short flights against each have happen? Rare stuff like Mig-29 vs. Flanker, I’m sure Russian pilots train against each other does anybody knows any pilots interviews I could read? There’s a picture of a Yemen Fulcrum and a Rafale on the net did the two flying against each other for a while? Pilot interviews are preferred articles about pilots talking about there aircraft and the aircraft they trained against. Basically any mock combat or training exercises big or small. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Good reading

Salty Dog that's perfect that's just what I'm looking for. Now wouldn't the US Navy have tons of these to for me to find? I know I saw it some place a Rafale going against a US Navy Hornet. I've read many times Mirage 2000/2000-5 vs F-16s not against F-15s? I'm sure the two have crossed paths some place right? And what about US Navy F-14s as going up against French or non American fighter on different cruises, I sure it happens. I wonder if I can find info on Red Flag that's public? In Europe there must be tons of these little exercises the countries are so close. In Poland currently I would be interested in reading what there Fulcrums pilots say about going up against there new F-16s in training? I like reading what real pilots say about other aircraft and there own. Thanks

No training, but you could search for the last war between Ethiopia and Eritrea.
They had a lot of engagements of Su-27s against MiG-29s (Mostly with mercenaries as pilots).

Flanker vs. Fulcrum

This is a good one and I have read about before. This poster in a different forum made sure that I knew that the current information at
http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_189.shtml could not be confirmed. I have no way of knowing if that is true or not. He seem was very sure of himself and that of the information given was incorrect. I could spend days at the above site reading articles there and have no problem doing so. I wish there was a site like that for ground wars.
Back to the topic another example of the kind of stuff I'm looking for would be visiting squadron stopping over at Greece or Turkey. I have a friend who lives in Greece and he said there's always a Rafale or two in his country. Now wouldn't the Greece pilots/air force would want to do a little kind of test flights against each other? http://www.defencetalk.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif
Wink

I know this kind of stuff is out there I just don't know how to search for it. Another item I'm looking for are pilots reviews on flying basic Mig-29A 9.12 Fulcrums and jumping up SMT types Yemen 9.18 and Algeria 9.19 types, you would think I could find something right? The difference between the on the outside is the Fulcrum 9.19 has a thicker spine. It's difficult getting information about either countries Fulcrums and there SMT upgrades, I guess a lot depends on the host country on how open they are.

I don't think they had that many. And information about them seems scarce and unreliable. IIRC, atleast one MiG-29 was shot down by an Su-27, I am not sure though.
