I was considering a strategic situation in south Asia
the recent MMRCA deal is a considering threat to china and Pakistan forces..
the recent induction approved by Pakistan air force about J-10B...
is it really a strong answer to MMRCA Eurofighter or french rafale...
both are 4.5 generation fighters....Aesa radars...great maneuverability makers.
is it a Tie of power?
over to you...give a responsible share about your views
thankyou

Versus, or direct A to B comparison threads are against the rules. That having been said, in this case I would respond with a definite no. It's not a particularly strong answer. A strong answer would have been acquiring upgraded F-15s, like the F-15K or even SE, or the F-18E/F. Buying the J-10B is more or less in line with Pakistan's current policy of purchasing Chinese to supplement western equipment.

i never mentioned a competition or versus to violate any rule
you should read the thread topic again

By speaking of an aircraft as a competitor, or a potential answer/response to another nation's fighter programme, and then asking the question if the aircraft "is it a tie of power" are all very much direct platform vs. comparisons. This thread needs to abide by the rules of the forum as well as make an immediate improvement in quality, otherwise the thread will be locked.

I don't think many countries in South Asia can afford to be buying Rafales and Typhoons in significant numbers.

The Rafale is around $90m per jet and the Eurofighter is around $125m. This is FAR more expensive than the J-10B. Probably an estimate price of double a J-10B.

Doesn't really seem like a viable option to me.

Um I hate to break it to you but the Eurofighter doesn't have Aesa. It's main claim to fame is maneuverability.

^ That's "...The target in-service date for the new radar is 2015..."

Also...

"...In consultation with our Core Nation customers we can offer an AESA capability that far exceeds any other radar available..."

I don't see that as a done deal. And you have to hope there will be NO delays in development and that that radar will perform as advertised.

What are the chances of the US selling any of those mentioned aircraft to Pakistan??

Its not- if the J-10B is the best for matching the MMRCA winner, but, the J-10B is the best Pakistan can get their hands on.

In all fairness, the Chinese are banking on the J-10B to match all potential 4/4.5 gen air craft the IAF can throw, so it should not be considered a weak match either(not trying to get into x vs Y). The J-10B does posses an operational AESA AFAIK.

You seem to be anti Chinese looking at your history of posts. But i am not surprised from what i seen living in the western world...:lul

Mod edit: Warning issued. Read the forum rules prior to posting again. Speaking of posting history, out of three posts made two have been edited by Moderators. When posting one should be contributing to Defence Talk, otherwise one might have a short stay here. Accusing a Super Moderator of being "anti" something because one does not agree with them is not abiding by the rules requiring members to be respectful of one another. Attempting to support that by making a claim of reviewing posting history is rather fanciful when the member has over 9,000 posts and pictures to their credit, many of which only the Mod and Admin teams can view. Also the comment which suggests that the West is "anti-Chinese" is not acceptable, particularly on an international defence forum. Repetition of such behaviors will result in further sanctions being taken.

Thread locked. When a Moderator makes a comment that the quality of a thread needs to improve immediately to prevent a thread being locked, that is exactly what needs to happen. In this case, it did not.
