Many of the Israelis do not see Iran as anything to fear. They just want Syria to drop it's alliance with Iran before anything is done. They have kidnapped and killed Iranian officials and are likely the ones behind the recent killing in Pakistan. The Israeli airforce has said that they are ready to engage with Iran. Israel has the F-15I which can reach Iran but may be permitted to use US aircraft carriers.
Iran has warned Israel many times and ways. They say that thier aircract can reach Israel though we don't know the models they have. Iran does have BMs that can hit Israel and a large navy that can face the USA. They have the F-14 Tomcat and Su-24s.
Who do you think would win such a conflict between them?

Iran

Israeli's F-15I are not carried base aircraft.

Iran does have Su-24 which should have the range to reach Israel depending on the load out. Trying to attack Israel with aircraft in small numbers with little else supporting it doesn't sound like a real option, even if half of Iran's old F-14 were capable of such a flight.

Iran's navy could never face off the USN in any way shape or form.

Israel and the US would win no problem. However what about a conflict strictly between Israel and Iran. I know Israel has a decent military force as well as Iran. However I am not sure how the two would face off against one another. I would predict huge numbers of civilian causalities (Iran’s bms are the main issue imo, not its airforce). I think the Israeli airforce would beat Iran’s, but I doubt they could intercept enough bms to make a huge difference. Then I am not sure how the ground war would turn out.
