Arnt you a pilot your self? Dint you give this sort of IQ test before?Big-E said:I just guessed and got 150. :
This isn't an IQ test, it's a spatial visualization test. It determines how well you can orient yourself with the user interface of your cockpit. As you know the high amount of information needing to be processed on your instruments is 2D while you fly in a 3D environment. Doing well on this simply means you will be able to orient yourself in the battlespace.SABRE said:Arnt you a pilot your self? Dint you give this sort of IQ test before?
Wouldn't a spatial visualisation test be a test of visual cognitive abilities ie IQ ?Big-E said:This isn't an IQ test, it's a spatial visualization test. Visualization is a part of the IQ which is why you see some of this on the standard test but to say this is an IQ test is not accurate. It is a basic screening we give trainees but more importantly to air traffic controlers. If the controlers can't pass this test they don't get the job.Grand Danois said:Wouldn't a spatial visualisation test be a test of visual cognitive abilities ie IQ ?
The "genuine" IQ tests I have seen also have a high element of this.
