Hi !
Well I'm a modder et Subsim.com and am currently making japanese submarines.
I have already a few models up and running (Jyunsen B, Jyunsen 1M, Type AM...) but I wanna change the most used view : the periscope view.
I searched the web but all submarine periscope views I found were of US fleetboats apparently.
I have attached four pictures :
The first one I found on the web on a page where it said it was from I-400 periscope.(http://www.webenet.net/~ftoon/memory/japsub.html)
the second one, showing a blurry sunset, is from the 1943 IJN movie Gochin and was taken through I-10's periscope. Unfortunately it doesn't show the reticle, which I need.
the third one is from the book I-400 but shows only a simple cross.
The last one is from a fleetboat, USS Thresher (SS-200).
can anyone help ? I know that IJN periscopes were shipped to the US in 1945 for study at the ordnance department.
I need a picture not unlike the first one but taken through a real japanese periscope, from an IJN one would be best, but a modern one would suffice.
