Hi

I guess my perspective is slanted by historic tails of ships taking one hit to the arms room and going up in smoke.

how much damage can a warship take?

I'd assume radar is the most important system, as if you blind a ship, you would have to rely on the missiles internal systems....

also given that radar has to be exposed hence is more likely to go than a fluke hit to an arms room.

You need to be WAAAAAY more specific to get real answers.

What class of ship are we talking about, and where did it get hit?

An old Iowa-class battleship could withstand multiple torpedo/bomb impacts and still go home at the end of the day.

A modern DDG...pray to god you don't get hit.
