After years of denial the Dutch have acknowledged that Dutch forces fighting to recover Indonesia commited actrocities/war crimes against the locals. It's well known that France, Belgium and Holland were occupied by the Germans and went through a very dark period but it's often forgotten that almost as soon as they were liberated they rushed to reclaim their colonies. In doing so they brutally suppressed nationalist uprisings and denied the locals the very freedom they themselves were denied by the Germans.
