Hello there, I am a Junior in High School who is interested in joining the US Air Force to work as a Linguist. I have already decided that I will only join if I have written documentation from my recruiter saying that I will go in studying to study Hebrew. I have a special relationship with Hebrew as I have been studying it for several years on my own, and I am actually going to be graduating early from High School next year to take Hebrew classes in Israel.

Hopefully I can learn something here.

Well, I got interested in Hebrew because it was the language of the Jewish people. As a Christian, I have a special interest to Israel and so naturally I decided to learn Hebrew.

I would also like to learn Arabic at some point, although if it was up to me I'd rather take up Hebrew if a recruiter asked me what language I would like to learn once I get accepted into the Crypto-Linguistics career.

that is really cool! next year in school, my junior year in high school, i am going to take Arabic, and then when i turn 18, i plan to join the Marines, if my many injuries don't mess everything up. I have a friend who's dad was in the US Air Force, now retired, that wants me to join, and he is the first one i am going to tell i want to join.

So how did you tell your parents you wanted to join? i still haven't, and need to SOON! :eek

Speaking Christian to Christian, I have One tip for your posting in the forums: Don't try to put your religious point of view on a lot of stuff because you are almost guaranteed to start an argument and it never ends well.

Hopes you get along with the other in the forum!
