Just finished an article about the USA 18th Wing, 67th Fighter Squadron's AESA equipped F-15C's flew sorties with and against the Royal Malaysian Air Force's MiG-29 and Su-30 squadrons in April.
Brigadier General Matt Malloy was effusive in his praise of the RMAF's professionalism and capability, and was effusive in his praise of the opportunity for his guys to fly against Russian-made 5th Gen fighters.
Was was startlingly absent from the article was any observations made about the effectiveness or lethality of the American jets versus the Russian jets. Now, this isn't about comparing aircraft per se... this is about analyzing real combat expectancies of air combat tangles.
Anyone have any actual info on how the F-15C's performed vis-a-vis the Russian jets?
