CPO (CO) in RNZN

Wondering if anyone can offer some up-to-date information.

Does a CPO (CO) in the RNZN go to sea or do they remain in shore jobs. I ask this because in other navy's, once a communicator reaches CPO level there does not appear to by any sea jobs.

In the RAN there are CPOCIS on most big ships, FFG, FFH, Tobruk, Success and Choules.
