Before i begin i hope that no politics will be used in this thread.

Im just asking can malaysia defend itself against threats in the future.
It doesnt only need to be regional threat but even outside ones.

the malaysian MAF is quite a respectable force in this region.it comprised of about 100,000 soldiers and around 50,000 active reservist. Its air force also havent suffer a lot with 18 su-30 mkm, 16mig-29, 8 f/a-18 c/d, and 18 hawks 208 [malaysian modified version of hawk 108].
The best is the malaysian navy[RMN].It is one of the strongest in this region.
it comprise of 2 well equipped f-2000 frigates.2 f-1500 corvettes [i dont now why bust most people call it frigates],and lots of fast ships equipped with missles [excoset-38].Malaysia now has just purchased 2 high tech scorpene sumbarine and 2 killer frigates from the UK.The RMN is also purchasing lots of MEKO 100 ships that is bulid in the country.

Malaysia has also one of the best E-warfare system in this region.MOst of the other countries depends highly on NASA to help the defence.Malaysia has the TIUNGSAT-1,RAZAKSAT, and the new to come locally build communications and defence satelite. The russians has also offered malaysians to join in their projects of developing own GPS system.

so the main question is CAN MALAYSIA DEFENCE ITSELF FROM ENEMIES IN THE FUTURE?

TQ:)

Mod edit: There are already a large number of Malaysian armed forces threads open, including "Can Malayasia hold it's own" which seems to cover this topic pretty well.

No need to open multiple threads on the same topic, ok?
