I got this from another list I subscribe to. Does anybody know anything more about South Africa supplying Brazil with the air-to-air missiles mentioned below?

I recently got an article about the new Brazilian F-5BR upgrade
program and the recent adoption of 12 second hand Mirage 2000C as Mirage
IIIBR replacement. On future armament options for both, it was mentioned
that the FAB bought a small batch of V-4 BVR missiles from South Africa for trials. The article said these were almost time expired missiles and were bought for only 20.000USD each as they were solely for trials, the other option being the MICA.
