Boeing or Northrop UCAVs?

If some readers are not aware since the expansion of U.S.'s UCAV program both the Navy and USAF programs have merged into one under DARPA. Both companies will soon have their more realistic combat prototypes flying soon.

What does everyone think of the individual designs and efforts?

Personally I am definately leaning toward Boeing since they have had much more success and time developing their UCAV's then Northrop. Boeing also has actually dropped bombs from both prototypes, and complete several mock missions. I think this will give Boeing the upper hand in the development of UCAV's. Though Northrops design was supposed to land on carriers so you know it has to be an excellent design as well.

I have also heard rumors the Lockheed Martin is also working on a design. Does anyone know if it is true?

Any other thoughts about the program are also welcome.

LancerMc it would be better if you post some technical informations about the Northorp Grumman's & Boeing's UAVs.

By starting threads with just questions & and with technical back ground information makes it a little easier for everyone to contribute.

TVC and other such innovation are all possible in JF-17, however I do not think it is likely to find it's way into the platfors. The reason I say is because JF-17 was always intended to be a low cost platform and something like TVC may affect it's price significantly in terms of research and development.

However, I do think that if PAF in the future decides to retrofit the fighter with a new engine such as the MP-53-2 jet engin in the future, it would probably require certain modification to the platform and TVC could be considered as part of an overall enhancement of the fighter. However, I am sure this would shoot the price of the fighter into the USD 20MM range.
