Auxilliary patrols

Hi I am very new to the site but was wondering if anyone can help?
One of my main areas of interest is the Auxiliary Units (stay behind units) that would have acted as our underground resistance should the Nazis have gone ahead and with operation Sealion.
I would love to locate the old patrol bases for the Herefordshire patrols. The only one I have ever found is that of the Bromyard Patrol.
The main one I would like to find is the Garnons Patrol Base as that is my home area and a friend of the family was a member of that patrol. (Yes I regret never talking to him about it, but I was fairly young when he died and he did not talk about it anyway).
Does anyone have any ideas?
I know that written information on the subject is almost nil and have found very little even on the national archives website.
Also i remember being told once that each patrol had a letter containing instructions, only to be opened in the event of invasion. After the war these letters were all destroyed. However I do remember hearing once about one that was kept and read. Apparently that patrol was instructed to shoot the local vicar, I presume it was thought his religious nature might make him susceptible to German persuasion?
Can anyone shed any light on the contents of these letters?
Many thanks.

I have pretty much exhausted my resources for this one, though unfortunately I came up blank.

There are some referrals to a Garnon Hill Patrol Base in Herefordshire. As a matter of fact; there are several military installations in the Herefordshire area evidently.
I also found some stories about several Garnons who served in your Navy and one of them was actively involved in the Zeebrugge Raid during WW1.

You mentioned something about the Auxilliaries having been trained to become somewhat of a partizan / guerillia unit in the event of a full scale German invasion. This is very likely the cause of you not being able to retrieve any data on the matter.

Your best shot would be to call your DoD or perhaps even a higher ranking officer at your local post. If anyone was passed down this amazing story it will be soldiers, given the fact that we are not inclined to disclose personal military history with any civilian. (no offense civis)
