Hello

I am involved in a discussion at the moment involving the F22 Raptor.

I recall in the not to distant past one of analysts either here or on 5th Column spoke in relation to the F22 that Australia enjoyed an A1 or A+ security clearance with the US along with only Canada the UK and I think Sweden, and therefore more likely to secure exports If available than say countries like Israel.

Can anyone shed any light on this as ive searched and searched and cant seem to find reference to the comment again?

I cannot recall who made the statement but would be interested if someone could point me in the direction of the original post or clarify the security rating issue and any substantiating links if available if there is such a rating.

Australias access levels have changed again in the last few months. A number of ITARs restrictions have been changed to allow Aust access into other US capabilities.

I'm unaware of the extent of the detail being released into the PD for obvious reasons.
