ASAT Technology

The Wanderer
Hey everyone, what’s some current plans or any future technologies for Anti Satellite Technology. The USAF had the LEO orbit weapon launched from the F15E Eagle this was used successfully against the Solwind in '85, AFAIK there are no treaties which prohibit this tech.

Any other mentionable programs I could have a look at? Also could the Standard 3 be adapted for Aircraft Launch? Does it have the power as a two stage? I have not been able to find any weight size specs on it.

Could current software systems allow telemetry and targeting details to sent to current USAF aircraft?

The F-22 would make an interesting aircraft to launch the ASAT missle from, as it can fly higher and faster than any F-15 eagle

Plus the F-22 could carry one missile under each wing. I dont know how the drag would effect the F-22's speed though. Probably give a further increase in range and height compared to a F-15 launch too.

However forget about an anti satelite missile when the airborne laser could be modified to destroy the satelite with ease.
