What are the types you are talking about? All three of the nations you listed have a reputaion for having a mixed bag, consisting of modern weapons in the hands of a few catagory "A" units, and a bewildering variety of cast-offs in all the other units.

Jade, I think Manfred2 has hit the nail on the head in regards to this thread.

If you can please come back with something more detailed and specific, otherwise I think we can consider this thread closed.

In all fairness, if you want detailed discussion, we need detailed questions.

Thanks.

What do you think of the Insas and the latest version of it ?

I hear it gives problems in hot environments.

What do you know of Chinese rifles, anyone ?

The last gen army assault rifles in China India and Pakistan are well comparable by their characteristics, 7.62 mm based with some tendency to go for lower caliber from the 7.62x39 mm (Russian, 1943). While India decided to go for 5.56 NATO (INSAS), China - for 5.8x42 Chino (QBZ-97), Pakistan still didnt decide whether to go for lower caliber or not. The most popular in three armies are still 7.62 AK-47 clones and developments: Type-81 (China, exported to Pakistan), Indian 7.62 mm AK-47 (Bulgarian made, purchased by BJP goverment). The issue of the caliber is not clear since Iraq and Afghan wars rised speculations about need for bigger caliber, 6-7mm, or return to 7.62x39 standard.
Pictures of the last inventions: 1) Indian 5.56x45 mm INSAS, most close to AK-101/Galil with a bit longer barrel
2) Chinese QBZ-95 for spec forces
3) Rounds: 5.56x45 NATO, 5.45x39 Russian, 5.8x42 Chinese

Indian Regular infantry use INSAS. COIN forces have Polish, Bulgarian AK derivatives. Paras were seen marching with Czech V58. Commandos pretty much can pick their choice, V58, H&K MP5 are more common.

India did Import Galils and Tavors for special forces. There were some problem with Tavors and now OFB makes them under license.
