Don't get me wrong I am deffinately NOT a fan of my Secretary of Defense but right now I'm also a civillian. Is it really within the rights of today's generals to call for the resignation of our SecDef? I thought that as officers they are not supposed to play politics in such a dangerous manner. I just want some other opinions on the situation.

I apologies but the idea behind my thread was just that. From all the books and articles that I've read with very few exceptions it has been the informal policy of the military not to meddle in politics so what is going on that all these retired generals are deciding to do this now. Of course if this subject is against Defence Talk policy I would gladly take it down.

Sorry, but you need to take this topic to globaltalk forums. This section is abount military strategies and tactics, not whether it's right or wrong to critize someone.

Thank you.
