All;
I am seriously considering joining the NZ Territorial / Reserve forces before the toll taken by age becomes unacceptable.
Before I do this, I have some questions and I hope there are some on this board who can help answering them;
1. The NZ Army website indicates you can split your training up into 4 'chunks' to be spread over a year. Three of these (two 21-day courses and a 14-day course) are at Waiuru. My question is: I'm assuming these do not include the transport to & from training - so I would have to take slightly longer than 21 days off work?
2. Is there anything you *cannot* bring with you for training?
3. Is there anything you absolutely should bring with you?
4. Apart from the fitness (which I try to maintain) is there anything else I should do in preparation?
Thanks!
