Hypothetical: Militarism in the near future, 2040, has developed beyond man's wildest imagination and machinations.
Strategy in essence has remained the same for centuries, and tactics have evolved with the advent of better, faster, smarter, etc. tools. Strategy was to kill and/or neutralize the enemy. Plain simple. Now, the enemy doesn't die. In hypo-fact, the enemy has never been alive.

Hypothetical questions:
(Scenario 1) - Your Army, Air Force, Navy, etc. consists of nanotech-equipped soldiers. Another Army, Air Force, Navy, etc also has nanotech-equipped soldiers. What kind of strategy and tactics would you consider?

(Scenario 2) - Your Army, Air Force, Navy, etc. consists of nanotech-equipped soldiers. Another Army, Air Force, Navy, etc does not have nanotech-equipped soldiers. What kind of strategy and tactics would you consider?

(Scenario 3) - Your Army, Air Force, Navy, etc. does not consist of nanotech-equipped soldiers. Another Army, Air Force, Navy, etc has nanotech-equipped soldiers. What kind of strategy and tactics would you consider?

Hopefully this thread can stay alive long enough. :argue

I think tactics wont change..just what armies do with their nanobots.

1. Have the combat units use nanobots defensively have support units (arty and air support) pound them with nanobot canisters.
2. Equal Offense and defense.
3. Surrender?
