Korean Overseas Information Service, Im Sang-gyu, head of the science and technology innovation headquarters of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST), visited the French aerospace research center and other relevant companies to discuss cooperation in the development of aerospace technology.
While visiting aerospace center Centre National d'Etudes Spatials (CNES), or the National Center for Space Studies, Im called upon his French counterpart to give his full support for the ongoing joint development of aerospace technology between the CNES and the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI).
He also exchanged opinions on technical support with the heads of two French companies, the Astrium and the Alcatel, under the wing of the European Aerospace and Defense System. Presently, KARI is jointly developing a multi-purpose telecommunications and ocean weather satellite with the two firms.
