, The Arrow Program performed today, 26/3/ 2007, a “fly out test” of an Arrow interceptor with improved capabilities.
The test, the 16th of the interceptor, is part of Arrow System Improvement Program (ASIP) which is being carried out jointly by Israel and the United States.
The test objectives were to collect flight test engineering data.
The interceptor was co–produced by IAI-MLM and Boeing.
All the interceptor’s components performed successfully according to the design and met all expectations.

All the required data has been gathered from this test and are being analyzed by the engineers.
The Arrow program is managed by the Israeli Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) in close cooperation with the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Israel Aerospace Industries/MLM Division is the prime contractor of the Arrow Weapon System.
The test's success is an important step in the system technological capability to deal with future incoming ballistic missile threats.
