Indra, The Military Transport Aircraft division of the company EADS, in the name of Airbus Military, has selected Indra to develop the electronic defence systems which will protect the European cargo plane A400M.
The Spanish company has been chosen out of an international contest framework, where the main electronic and defence sector groups participated, and competed in the final stage against the proposal presented by the French group Thales.
Indra has signed the first contract for the sum of EUR 49.5 million to implement the electronic defence systems in the first 85 A400M planes, whose delivery will begin in 2009. The systems, based on Indra
