Dassault Aviation,
The “Rafale Simulation Center” contract, awarded in 2003, covered the production and supply of two simulation centers. The first was inaugurated on 24 January 2008 at Saint-Dizier. The second stage of this contract was the delivery of the simulation center in Landivisiau.
This was duly achieved on 9 January, when the center was inaugurated on the Landivisiau Naval Air Base by Rear Admiral de Rostolan, commander of the French naval air arm, in the presence of civil and military authorities.
Located inside the CEIPM training, teaching and mission preparation centre at Landivisiau Naval Air Base, the Rafale Simulation Center represents the state of the art in simulation: the aircraft and its environment are represented with high fidelity, and it is possible to create dense and complex tactical environments. The center thus makes it possible to optimize flying time and above all to maintain the very high operational level of Rafale pilots.
The role of the CEIPM centre is to provide mission preparation and debriefing for the pilots in all operational domains (electronic warfare, intelligence gathering, training in the Rafale Simulator Center…). It has a staff of 50 people, including pilots undergoing ab initio training.
