Turkish Press, ANKARA: ''7th International Defense Industry Fair- IDEF 2005'' will be opened in Ankara on Tuesday (tomorrow). The fair, which will stay open till September 30th, is among the world's most important defense industry fairs.
427 companies from 49 countries will attend the international fair. 132 of them are from Turkey. Firms from South Africa, Belgium, Bulgaria, Korea, Sweden and Hungary will participate for the first time in IDEF.
The fair is intended to show the recent technological developments in defense industry and aviation.
240 high ranking officials from 47 countries, nine defense ministers and four chiefs of general staff, will attend the fair.
Approximately 50,000 people are expected to visit the fair.
