Krauss-Maffei Wegmann , MUNICH: Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) is drawing considerable attention at this year IDEF 2007 in Ankara. Special highlights will be the delivery of the first 4×4 FENNEK with a Stinger-Weapon-Platform to the Royal Dutch Army. A substantial part in this project, the delivery of the Stinger launching system, was subcontracted to Aselsan, Turkey.
The Fennek SWP is equipped with a launcher with four Stinger missiles, enabling the vehicle to provide efficient and sustained medium-range air defense. At the same time, it can be deployed as a complete stand-alone weapon, as well as a remote-controlled system that is part of ground-based air defense systems. At the same time it retains its unique mobility even in this variant.
Further displays are the Fennek scout car and the MBT Table Top Trainer simulator for Leopard 2 MBT applications. In addition KMW is underlining its worldwide unique Main Battle Tank competence in displaying the Leopard 2 family in various versions from Leopard 2 A4 over the Leopard 2 A5 to the Leopard PSO (Peace Support Operations) as realistic scale models as well as the world-famous all protected Dingo 2 and AFV Boxer.
KMW experts are ready to explain the systems current and future capabilities at stand G-320.
