VNA, Washington, Nov. 15- A high-level military delegation led by Defence Minister Gen. Pham Van Tra paid an official visit to Brazil from Nov. 13-15.
The delegation held talks with a Brazilian high-level military delegation led by Defence Minister Jose Viegas Filho. Host and guest discussed the situation in their respective countries and ways to enhance military cooperation.
They agreed to increasevisits by military delegations, more language training, furthering army football, and open military attache offices in each country in 2004.
The two sides shared the view that their strengthened ties contribute to promoting relations between the two nations to their mutual benefit, and to peace, national independence and common development.
They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation called at Brazil's Infantry High Command and the Military Strategy Research Centre. Minister Tra was conferred with Brazil's Peace Order.
The delegation left Brazil on Saturday for an official visit to Belgium
