GUSS Vehicle Demonstration during RIMPAC 2010
Marine Corps Warfighting Lab provides a demonstration of the Ground Unmanned Support Surrogate (GUSS) at Hawaii's Bellows Air Force Station during RIMPAC 2010. GUSS integrates and existing vehicle with autonomous vehicle kit. It serves as a multi-purpose support vehicle for rough or off road terrain with day/night and all-weather capabilities. GUSS can perform, re-supply, unit load carrying duties, casualty evacuation and reconnaissance.RIMPAC is the world's largest multinational maritime exercise, with 14 nations, 32 ships and over 20000 personnel taking part this year. A biennial exercise, RIMPAC stresses the necessity of operational readiness in the Pacific and the sentiment that building relationships with our global partners ensures maritime freedom for all. This year marks the 22nd in a series of RIMPAC exercises conducted since 1971.
