http://charlotte.bizjournals.com, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. has chosen Goodrich Corp.'s dimmer display control unit for use on its F-16 aircraft.
“We are under contract to develop and supply the next generation in lighting control technology to Lockheed Martin for the F-16,” says Chris Burdette, account manager for military programs at Goodrich Hella Aerospace Lighting, a division of Charlotte-based Goodrich. “Our system provides new digital technology that replaces the analog system previously used.”
The unit controls the brightness settings of aircraft instruments and panels under a variety of lighting conditions.
Financial terms weren't disclosed.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is based in Fort Worth, Texas. It is a division of Lockheed Martin Corp. of Maryland.
Goodrich develops and sells aerospace products and services.
