The DoD requests $214.7 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2011 combined Base ($189.4 billion) and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) ($25.3 billion) for Investment programs: $77.2 billion (Base, $76.5 billion; OCO, $0.6 billion) in Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) appropriations and $137.5 billion (Base, $112.9 billion; OCO, $24.6 billion) for Procurement appropriations.
Of this amount $80.0 billion is for programs that have been designated as Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP).
