VILLEPINTE, France: Following a trilateral analysis, the United Kingdom, Sweden and France are studying the possibility of launching co-operative architecture studies and technology demonstrators in 2007.
Funded by the three nations, the studies are intended to define the system and technical requirements, and the level of modularity of guided weapons for dismounted and mounted combat. Such technologies could be integrated onto all types of land, sea and air platforms, either manned or unmanned.
This work offers the opportunity to move towards cooperative development programmes in the future.
