General Dynamics, NEEDHAM: The U.S. Army has selected Signal Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of General Dynamics Network Systems, to receive the first competitively awarded task order under the Total Engineering and Integration Services (TEIS) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, which has a ceiling value of approximately $800 million.
Under this order, which has a value of approximately $730,000, Signal Solutions will provide technical support for the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC) local and wide area networks, desktop computer configurations and end-user support to include network accreditation, information assurance and network support. Work will be performed in Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by January 2007.
“As the incumbent provider on the predecessor contract, receiving the first competitively awarded order is a great vote of confidence from the Army. We look forward to our partnership with USAISEC growing,” said Phil Jones, the vice president responsible for the program. “We welcome the chance to continue supporting the Army warfighter with each new opportunity that develops through the TEIS contract.”
Since the first TEIS contract was awarded in 2000, Signal Solutions has partnered with the USAISEC to provide the Army with rapid response and global support in transforming its information systems infrastructure across the Army enterprise.
