, The Finnish Air Force took delivery of its first EADS-Casa C-295M tactical transport aircraft in Tikkakoski on Tuesday.
The two C-295Ms are to replace the air force's ageing Fokker F-27 aircraft. The other C-295M is to be flown to Finland in late March or early April. The aircraft are to be flown back to Sevilla later this year for the fitting of equipment.
With a payload of 9,250 kilogrammes, the Spanish-made C295M is the biggest transport aircraft type ever operated by the Finnish military.
