Finnish Government, Finland's military has chosen Finnish chemical detection equipment maker Environics as the main supplier of the army's new light reconnaissance vehicles, the company said Wednesday.
The deal spans a prototype and manufacturing options. Should the Defence Forces show green light to all the options, the total value of the deal would be about 15 million euros.
Environics said Finland's was not the only military mulling replacing or supplementing heavy armoured recognisance vehicles with lighter ones boasting more sophisticated equipment.
