Diehl Defence is displaying a cross-section of advanced equipment for armies, air forces and navies at its 210 square meter exhibition stand at the IDEX from February 17 to 21, 2013 in Abu Dhabi.
The product portfolio not only includes the IRIS-T SLM air defence system. It also features guided missiles, an air combat training system as well as medium- and large caliber infantry and navy ammunition: IRIS-T is the world’s most advanced air-to-air short-range guided missile and the standard weapon system for the combat aircraft Eurofighter/Typhoon, Tornado, F-16, EF-18 and Gripen currently operative in ten air forces.
The IDAS prototype submarine weapon is a unique missile capable of self-protection against air, naval and coastal threats. The Flight Profile Recorder is considered NATO standard for air combat training systems. Modern 40 mm infantry as well as 76 mm naval ammunition and smoke agents for force protection are also on exhibition.
Moreover, Diehl Defence is presenting solutions for car stopping and Counter-IED based on HPEM (High Power Electro Magnetics) technology, the SIMONE passive monitoring system for naval vessels, innovative tracks and suspensions for armoured vehicles worldwide as well as modern ammunition fuzes for artillery, infantry, combat aircraft and armored vehicles.
For the first time, Diehl Defence is showcasing high-quality packaging systems for modern ammunition.
The success of Diehl Defence products in Europe and worldwide is based on technological leadership, product quality and reliable delivery.
